Who I Am
I am a bilingual Civil Engineering senior at the University of Texas at El Paso, set to graduate in December 2026. My background bridges two cities and two engineering cultures: hands-on construction experience in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and current professional work at Leggett & Platt in El Paso.
What sets me apart is my enthusiasm for pairing traditional civil engineering disciplines — structural analysis, water treatment design, and project management — with emerging AI tools. I believe the engineers who thrive in the next decade will be the ones who learn to work alongside intelligent systems, and I am already doing exactly that.
I am actively seeking full-time opportunities where I can bring both technical rigor and a forward-thinking mindset to infrastructure, construction, or consulting projects.
What I Bring
Career History
Worked in a high-volume warehouse environment responsible for the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders from start to finish. Daily responsibilities included locating and verifying materials against order specifications, packaging shipments to quality standards, and scanning inventory to maintain real-time accuracy in the system.
Collaborated closely with a warehouse team to coordinate order preparation workflows, balance task loads, and consistently meet daily shipping targets in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Developed strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure while managing multiple orders simultaneously.
Assisted in the planning and execution of industrial renovation projects across multiple manufacturing facilities in Ciudad Juárez. Projects ranged from restroom construction and office buildouts to ADA-compliant accessibility ramps and full electrical system installations — each requiring strict adherence to client specifications, safety codes, and quality standards.
Performed regular on-site inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues early, and ensure work was completed on schedule. Served as a direct point of contact between contractors and clients, facilitating clear communication to resolve conflicts, adjust timelines, and maintain project momentum. Gained hands-on experience applying civil engineering principles in real industrial and commercial construction environments.

What I've Built
Overview
A full stack web application that helps El Paso, TX contractors build professional construction cost estimates in minutes. Built and deployed solo from scratch.
The Problem It Solves
Most small contractors in El Paso rely on spreadsheets or pen and paper to estimate project costs — a slow and error-prone process. BuildRight reduces a 30–60 minute task to under 10 minutes with locally researched prices, automatic calculations, and a professional PDF output ready to hand directly to a client.

Overview
A construction project scheduling tool built for contractors. Enter a project's build phases (permits, foundation, framing, roofing, etc.) with a duration for each, and it automatically calculates a sequential timeline — each phase starts the day after the previous one ends.
